Ancora Cortina
Corso Italia, 62
32043 Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy
+39 04363261
Romance returns to the alpine enclave of Cortina d’Ampezzo with the exquisitely revived Hotel Ancora, built in 1826 and still steeped in heady alpine lore. Design savant Vicky Charles’s first post–Soho House project is rich with detail: slate-blue moldings, velvet headboards, hand-blown chandeliers, and vintage finds sourced across Il Bel Paese. Each of the 35 rooms is unique; some have bathtubs facing the mountains, while others feature painted ceilings or private terraces. The Ancora Suite crowns the top floor with sweeping Dolomite views, while the Imperial Suite adds a sauna and Jacuzzi for post-slope indulgence. Just 300 meters from the Faloria lift, the hotel welcomes guests in every season with a spa, gym, and lively Viennese Terrace for sun-drenched aperitivi.

Safari Camp
Masai Mara, Motorogi Conservancy
C14, Kenya, Africa
+254 20 7640071
Fresh from a stellar revamp, Sir Richard Branson’s Mahali Mzuri—meaning ‘beautiful place’ in Swahili—unveils a new spirit in the spectacular surrounds of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. Set on the path of the Great Migration, the exclusive safari lodge now features 12 luxury tents with expansive valley views, freestanding tubs, and curated Maasai details throughout. Mornings might start with a sunrise hot air balloon ride, while evenings wind down with local cocktails by (or better yet, in) the infinity pool as buffalo, elephants, and giraffes roam the pastel-toned, sunset-lit plains. Twice-daily game drives bring the drama of the Mara to your doorstep, while guided bush walks and Maasai community visits offer an insight into local traditions and daily life.
Nobu Hotel
Toronto
33 Mercer Street
Toronto, ON M5V 1H2, Canada
+1 365-922-8888
Rising in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District, the Studio Munge-conceived Nobu Hotel brings a sweep of Japanese refinement to the city’s skyline. High above the bustle, the Mizu Lake View Suite is a generous sky-set sanctuary with dining for six, a glass fireplace, and Nobu’s signature deep-soaking tub beside a window overlooking downtown. Warm neutrals, indigo accents, and curated comforts exude calm composure: 300-thread count Italian linens, Byredo amenities, Japanese yukata robes, and a yuzu-ginger bath ritual. At the second-floor namesake Nobu restaurant—Canada’s first—Chef Matsuhisa’s seafood-led signature dishes nod to Nikkei cuisine and Toronto’s multicultural palette. Private wellness quarters and 24-hour room service round out the stay.
The Nickel
Hotel
529 King Street
Charleston, SC 29403, USA
+1 854-260-1331
A modern Southern belle with impeccable taste, The Nickel Hotel carries forward Charleston’s old-world charms. Designed by Method Studios with Morris Adjmi Architects, the five-story retreat rises above the porch-lined, restaurant-filled streets of the Cannonborough neighborhood. Its crown jewel is the three-bedroom penthouse—a 146-sqm retreat with a 76-sqm wraparound terrace opened by an abundance of French doors. Ideal for entertaining away from home, the open-plan living area includes a full Bosch kitchen, island seating, and dining for six. When you’re ready to mix up the menus, Bar Daniel welcomes guests into a velvet-lined hideaway, while rooftop bar Rosemary Rose serves cocktails and city views with a Southern lilt.
