Travels Along
Blue Horizons

Places and Spaces

From the charm of Nice to the Monaco Yacht Show—a journey of quiet sophistication. Between azure horizons and masterful design, it is clear that elegance is timeless.

Pausing to enjoy waves, salty air, and the brave dipping into the warm Mediterranean.

Bienvenue Côte d’Azur
Our short trip begins with a detour to Nice, which, during the Monaco Yacht Show, is mainly approached by private jets gliding low over our heads on their way to the runway.

Among them, the Promenade des Anglais makes a particularly striking impression. Lined with magnificent Belle Époque buildings—most notably the iconic luxury hotel Le Negresco, rising behind a long avenue of palm trees and offering views of the Mediterranean—it’s a scene of timeless grandeur.

The bustling Old Town, Vieux Nice, feels like a labyrinth of narrow alleys and lively market stalls where it’s a pleasure to get lost. Today, it’s florists who dominate the scene. The air is filled with the scent of flowers and freshly baked socca—that chickpea flatbread typical of Côte d’Azur, made with olive oil.

And of course, a classic Salade Niçoise at a beach club overlooking the endless azure blue is a must. We enjoy a brief pause and the spectacle before us: waves breaking on the pebbled beach, salty air whipping around us. Those daring enough to go barefoot across the rocky shore and down the steep path into the water are rewarded by the Mediterranean’s refreshingly pleasant temperature.

Wandering the vibrant maze of Vieux Nice.

On the Way to Monaco
The drive along the Riviera winds through lush, green mountain passes until finally, the densely built city-state of Monaco unfolds before us. Passing the Jardin Exotique and through Les Moneghetti, the view opens up to glamorous Monte Carlo. From the casino, the serpentine road twists further toward the Yacht Club de Monaco. We move slowly—a welcome chance to soak in the unmatched splendor of this city.

Port Hercule appears like a carefully arranged ensemble, carved tightly between cliffs and residential buildings. Every inch of the marina is in use. A dense web of superyachts and curious visitors from around the world creates what might be the most exclusive stage of all.

On Board the 100 Sunreef Power
At the entrance to the Yacht Club de Monaco, we’re welcomed by Artur Połoczański, PR Director of Sunreef Yachts, who takes us on board the 100 Sunreef Power.

The 30-meter-long superyacht is a power catamaran, combining cutting-edge technology with sustainable design and luxurious accommodation for up to 10 guests. Expansive platforms blend interior and exterior spaces, while exquisite materials and top-tier craftsmanship reflect Sunreef’s philosophy.

As Połoczański puts it, “The recently developed natural flax fiber composite is a reflection of our philosophy: It’s about using sustainable resources while creating an aesthetic that is timeless yet highly functional. A yacht like the 100 Sunreef Power is not just a statement. It’s a home—but also a kind of stage on the water. This kind of luxury comes from balance: space, proportions, and harmony between technology and nature.”

Taskin Yüksel, Co-CEO and Executive Director of Global Business at Maison Ë, adds: “Maison Ë and Sunreef clearly speak the same language. We value craftsmanship and vision, but we also respect tradition. What unites us is not just what we create, but how we create it—with patience, precision, and a sense of responsibility toward nature.”

An Extraordinary Finale
As the lights of the superyachts cast a gentle shimmer across the harbor, Sunreef invites guests to a soirée at the Yacht Club de Monaco. Fine canapés, artistic performances, and sparkling champagne bring touches of understated elegance.

This experience lingers as a moment of precision, vision, and connection—a true reflection of the Côte d’Azur, of Sunreef Yachts, and of Maison Ë.
